Nate Finch is a South Australian visual artist based in the Adelaide Hills. Nate’s work transitions back and forth from wall to canvas. He has undertaken personal and collaborative large scale mural projects both in public places and for private clients. Nate has exhibited work in shows and galleries locally, interstate and overseas. Currently completing his final year of a Bachelor of Visual and Creative Arts with Adelaide College of the Arts and Flinders University. Nate was recently selected to exhibit for the 2017 Helpmann Academy Graduate exhibition.
Nate has been painting stylised letter forms with aerosol on walls and canvas for more than twenty years and has had formal training as a sign painter. The constant manipulating, abstracting of letter forms and experimentation of mediums and colour has lead him to the work he creates today, highly expressive, energetic, non representational canvas work that sometimes borders on mural scale.
